Emerson Stone began his professional executive development and business strategy career in 1970 unifying executive professional mentoring-coaching-consulting with personal fitness-security training. Born in Hollywood, California where his father helped develop Capitol Records into a world entertainment leader, he learned early the importance of innovation backed by sound business practice. In serving his clients, Emerson brings the culmination of more than forty years of managerial leadership experience and expertise at all levels of the organizational hierarchy – senior executive, executive, middle-manager, supervisor and team leader. He maintains a truly global perspective in his professional practice, having lived and worked in Europe, Southeast Asia, Japan as well as other parts of the world. A short-list of his business positions include chairman of the board, chief executive officer, executive VP marketing, chief systems architect, VP sales, chief administrative officer, chief operating officer, management consultant, trainer, training architect, certified executive coach/personal fitness trainer, author, and union business agent. Emerson views business as a Battlefield and is a “mustanger” having served as both a non-commissioned officer in four major combat campaigns with the Fleet Marine Force, United States Marine Corps, and later as a commissioned U.S. Army infantry, operations, plans and training officer. He has twice served as a Commanding Officer. A short-list of his military and civil service assignments include that of company commander, headquarters commandant, secretary of the general staff, protocol officer, operations officer, training officer, chief, human resources division, administration officer, strategic long-range planner, contingency war plans officer, Army Community Service Officer, U.S. Army Europe, and organizational effectiveness internal consultant. Three key military career “lessons learned” for Emerson are those of “paradoxical management - how to lead and follow at the same time,” “battles are won before the battle - plan and prioritize properly,” and “avoid ‘fragging’ - listen to the troops.”
